MP for Edinburgh West, Christine Jardine, recently met with parents and teachers from Cargilfield School to discuss the need for a pedestrian crossing on Gamekeepers Road.
The road is frequently used as a rat run by commuters, causing concerns about the volume and speed of the traffic.
Christine was also advised of a near miss involving a pupil at a local school.
Christine said: "The perception that the road is dangerous means pedestrians don’t feel safe to walk along or cross it. This is deterring people from walking and forcing them into their cars, only exacerbating the traffic issues in Cramond.
"I have written to my constituents in the are and I would like to hear your view on whether a crossing on Gamekeepers Road would make a difference for you and make you feel safer when crossing."
